How do I apply for an internship?
Please submit a cover letter detailing your interest in and qualifications for a specific internship position and a resume. The submission form is located on the right side of this page.

Do I need letters of reference?
Letters of reference are not required, but they are welcome.

Is this a paid internship?

No, this is an unpaid internship.

Can I receive academic credit for this internship?
That will depend on your school or university.  Many of our interns are receiving academic credit.

What are the deadlines for the application process?
There is no deadline for internship applications. Higbee & Associates is always accepting applications.

When does recruiting start for Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer internships?
Recruiting for Fall is advertised mid-July, Winter internships are advertised in November, Spring internship recruiting begins in February and Summer internships are advertised in mid-April.

How many interns are accepted per quarter?
Approximately 25-35.

Will I be evaluated on my performance?
Yes, the intern supervisor and the case manager will evaluate all interns, both at halfway and at the end of their internship.

Can international students intern?
Yes. 

What type of interns do Higbee & Associates look for?

What type of training will I receive?
Every intern will be required to attend orientation. The orientation will cover basic training, and after orientation is completed interns will then get one on one training with their case manager or supervisor.

Can I intern at one of Higbee & Associates in another state?
No, we only have internship opportunities in our headquarters which is in Santa Ana, CA.

Will there be employment opportunities after I complete my internship with Higbee & Associates?
Participating in the intern program does not guarantee employment; nor is it a pre-condition for employment.   However, Higbee & Associates has hired more than 14 interns since the program was established in 2010.   Interns are notified when jobs become available.  Outstanding interns are encouraged to apply.
