Attorney Theresa Anne Carey is based in the beautiful Driftless region of south-central Wisconsin.  Originally from Southern California, she is admitted to practice law in both Wisconsin and California.  She is also admitted to practice before the United States Federal courts for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.  She holds a Juris Doctorate from Western State University of Law in Irvine, California, as well as having recently earned a master’s in fine arts in Screenwriting from Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Theresa is a committed advocate for the poor and disenfranchised, she practices primarily in the areas of consumer debt relief, civil rights and criminal law.  She is an award-winning screenwriter and playwright, has seven children, most grown and gone, and loves spending her free time playing with her young grandchildren, gardening, writing, spending time with her animals, traveling, and exploring the great outdoors.
