Courtney Bramstedt

Legal Assistant

Working on the firms Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) cases as a legal assistant, I manage these cases from start to finish, making sure that clients are constantly kept up to date on the status of their case. From when the client first reports their harassment to us, to working with the client to make sure the details of their experience are accurately reflected in the drafted complaint and declaration, and finally working with opposing counsel on a settlement, I love helping ensure our clients are treated fairly and with respect by creditors and debt collectors. Knowing that my work helps protect those who are distressed and overwhelmed is constant motivation to work harder to give our clients the best representation. Knowing that the rest of the Consumer Advocacy team is always there to help and support always allows me to always be at my best.

My favorite moment at work is hearing that a settlement agreement has been made for one of our FDCPA cases and getting to share the good news to the client that their harassment has stopped and that they will receive restitution. The fact that my job allows me to positively impact the lives of others on a daily basis is extremely rewarding.
