Ryan E. Carreon is an associate attorney in the Copyright Division. Mr. Carreon is a member of the State Bar of California, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

A southern California native, Mr. Carreon earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Brigham Young University-Idaho and Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School. While at Loyola, Mr. Carreon provided over 100 pro bono hours to indigent clients and was a recipient of the 2015 Patricia Herzog Pro Bono Service Award by the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. Mr. Carreon has worked on a wide variety of intellectual property matters including representing a screenwriter in an idea theft case involving the hit BBC America television series “Orphan Black”, representing a street artist in a trademark infringement case against R&B artist Chris Brown, and representing Chris Soules of ABC’s “The Bachelor” in a right of publicity case involving a dating website. Prior to law school, Mr. Carreon worked as a sports reporter for Deseret Digital Media in Salt Lake City, Utah.
